55 gallon crabitat11 viewsThis is the start of the new 55 gallon crabitat, still waiting on supplies to finish it this week. Lots of climbing with vines, cholla logs and hemp nets. The back of the tank is covered with a rainforest background, giving the look of a lush garden. Lots of places to hide with the cork log and silk plants, a large hide has been ordered.02/14/10 at 18:13ladybug15057: Looks absolutely fantastic bugboy!

CrabKingcom1979 viewsThis unit is made of popular and maple hardwood. It has four levels. Bottom level has two hidding sheds and there are rods to climb to the roofs (second level). From the roofs, you can climb up a ramp to a center balcony area with dowels across to stop any crabs from falling from this level. Two ladders access the roof level which we use to put the crabs back in the habitat. At first I wasn't sure about the ladders, but they seem to love it. And even my handicap crabs can get back down.07/22/07 at 03:04Hermie10135: awesome

Perhaps why they call them 'Coconut crabs'3784 viewsPhoto of a coconut crab (B. latro) in a coconut shell. Many crabs have difficulty with finding a suitable shell and so choose alternative items to cover their soft abdomens. 06/18/07 at 04:41mike: That is a MASSIVE land hermit crab!!!!!
