2590 viewsThe tank has all the prerequisit needs like a fresh and salt water bowl, food dish(not sure what they are having in this shot, its quite red isnt it though), hyrgometer (which is digital now becuase i cant read analog things, so sad really), therometer for the air and substrate. They have lots of climby things like netting, ivy and driftwood. I also added a background to make them feel a bit more secure, apparently they prefer i dont sneak up on them.

2747 views remade the tank to include a 'shell changing station' that is a combination of ideas borrowed from other crabbers at this site. Its the small white basket in the bottom left corner. Its supported by some suction cups and is resting on top of a fake stump that i decided looked pretty neat upside down. So far Milton has changed shells and then back into his old one but Donovan is still in his new choice.

100 gallon tank2782 views100 gallon tank with sand substrate. Several driftwood pieces that the crabs eat and climb on. A shelf with coconut backing covering it and natural fiber ropes for access. We have a salt water bath and dechlo. bath for the crabs. A treat bowl and 2 shells of crab food. Under the shelf is a tub of forest bedding that the crabs often bury in and the ones that have moulted have used the fb. Above the tank we have a moonglow lamp that stays on 24/7.

3-05141 viewsHere's the setup for March 2005. The the little pool on the left with the palm tree is the salt water and the water in the pink dish on the right is fresh. The heater is on the left side. Mine don't see to be much of climbers. So that's why there is a lack of climbing things. In the back right corner is the think part of the sand because last time that's where they dug and molted. I'm still waiting for them to with the new sand.

addedstuff.jpg
addedstuff12 viewsThis is most of the stuff that I added to the tank. EE, choya wood for climbing into the moss pit and also holding up the Lexan shelf. There are 2 jacuzzis, 1 in the front and 1 in the back next to the moss pit. I also have a coconut half in the net, filled with more moss. The moss is Hiawatha moss I found at Michael's. There are miscellaneous plants in the tank. I wrapped a leafy vine around part of the jungle vine. At this point, I thought the tank was good to go. Silly me...
